UW Pediatrics “Quiet Periods”
Thank you to all who continue to provide crucial clinical care and laboratory efforts during times when other services have an opportunity to alter their schedules.
UW Pediatrics workforce members benefit from dedicated time when meetings and emails are minimized in order to enable focused time for projects and pending tasks. UW Pediatrics leadership encourages workforce members engaging in administrative functions to avoid scheduling non-critical meetings and to minimize the use of non-critical email during these periods. Critical or time sensitive issues should always be escalated.
Recommended quiet periods occur five times annually and will be communicated via PedsNews and faculty meetings. In general, quiet periods occur seasonally and align with time periods around existing work holidays.
