Faculty in General Pediatrics are affliated with a number of research centers associated with the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital. Follow these links to learn about these research programs.
The UW Division of General Pediatrics and the affiliated Center for Child Health, Behavior and Development of Seattle Children's Research Institute, the Child Health Institute of the University of Washington, the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center, and the Northwest Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit provide rich and diverse mentoring opportunities for Pediatric NRSA fellows. The Division faculty includes over 30 investigators with research programs examining health and health care from a population perspective, as well as at the level of individual patient encounters. Some main areas of faculty focus include: injury prevention, obesity, mental health, effects of media on youth, quality improvement, and environmental health. Division faculty also work in a variety of outpatient and inpatient pediatric clinical programs.
