In her role has Medical Director of Care Coordination, Dr. Kumar has a critical role in ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in care coordination processes and is the physician leader that provides clinical oversight for the Utilization Review, Case Management, and Social Work teams.  As Co-Chair of the Utilization Review Committee she is responsible for the development and implementation of protocols and guidelines to optimize and standardize care coordination processes as well as to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
