Taryn Essinger is a communications strategist and driven leader. Since becoming a mom, the health and wellbeing of children and families has been a top priority in her work. After 15+ years in nonprofit arts, writing, editing and communications consultation, the last 10 years have been the pinnacle of her career, in service to organizations with missions she cares deeply about.

Taryn previously served as director of communications and development at WithinReach, an advocate and key connector to health and social services for families in Washington, with a focus on those currently and historically affected by disparities. Prior to that, she built strategy from the ground up as the first communications manager for NW Children’s Foundation, which grants money to agencies that support children who have been abused or neglected.
