Meghan McGarry, MD, MAS

Dr. McGarry received her Medical Degree (MD) from the University of Washington School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Rainbow Babies Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship training and obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Research at the University of California San Francisco.
Dr. McGarry was a faculty member at the Benioff Children’s Hospitals of the University of California San Francisco for over a decade. In 2024, Dr. McGarry joined the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. McGarry has built her research career in health disparities in cystic fibrosis (CF). Her NIH and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) grant-funded work focuses on investigating pulmonary disease severity in Hispanic children with cystic fibrosis. Dr. McGarry also works to improve equity in newborn screening for cystic fibrosis. She is committed to improve health equity through research, education, advocacy, and community engagement.
