Sahar Rooholamini, MD, MPH, FAAP

Professional Bio

Dr. Rooholamini completed her undergraduate degree at Pomona College and an MPH in Global Health at Yale University.  She attended Stanford University School of Medicine and completed her internship, residency and chief residency at Stanford University/Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Rooholamini is interested in the intersections of medical education, quality improvement, and equity, diversity and inclusion.  She has been an associate director of the University of Washington pediatric residency program since 2015, where she has co-led multiple curricular initiatives including the development and expansion of the Inclusion, Cultural Humility, Diversity and Equity (INCLUDE) curriculum. From 2018-2020, she led a large multi-center QI study called SOFI  (Standardization of Fluids in Inpatient Settings) through the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Value in Inpatient Pediatrics Network.  She is a QI coach for the Seattle Children’s Maintenance of Certification program, co-leads the Generate and Teach Health Equity Routinely (GATHER) project, and serves as a QI coach for multiple national projects.
