Dr. Fatemi’s scholarly work focuses on diagnostic excellence and diagnostic test stewardship. through a combination of quality improvement methodology and qualitative research. She is also very interested in graduate medical education, particularly curriculum development and program evaluation.  

Her clinical time includes inpatient Infectious Diseases consultation and the outpatient Infectious Diseases clinic. In addition, Dr. Fatemi serves as an Associate Medical Director for Infection Prevention at Seattle Children’s Hospital and the Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at University of Washington. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, exploring art museums, and going to ballet and symphony performances.
