Dr. Emily Georges, MD is an Acting Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency training at UC San Diego and fellowship in child abuse pediatrics at UW and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Georges is passionate about engaging communities to mitigate health consequences experienced by survivors of child sexual abuse. Her research focuses on the design and implementation of digital interventions aimed at addressing mental health needs after a child has experienced this form of violence. She is also interested in the role policy reform can play in prevention of child maltreatment.
