Clinical Interests: Care and stabilization of the critically ill neonate, infant cue‐based oral feeding development, and improving care and outcomes in preterm infants through evidence‐ and quality‐based practices.

Scholarly Focus: Quality improvement work. Current St Joseph Medical Center quality projects include oral feeding development pathways, individualized feeding development plans for neonates on respiratory support, continuity of care communication for complex patients, and increasing safety awareness.  Additional quality projects include protocol review and maintenance for the Extremely Preterm Program at the University of Washington Medical Center and the division‐wide focuses on nutrition and growth and LISA.

Administration/Education Roles: Serves as the Associate Medical Director at St Joseph Medical Center Level III NICU. Director of the Madigan Army Medical Center pediatric resident rotation at SJMC NICU. Teaches medical students, residents and fellows at University of Washington Medical Center and residents, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants at St Joseph Medical Center. Works collaboratively with the APP teams at UWMC and SJMC.
