Professional Bio
Dr. Kim’s primary focus is on transplant infectious diseases. Her research interest is in respiratory viruses, specifically respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), in immunocompromised hosts. She has been exploring the factors associated with progression to RSV lower respiratory tract infections and immune responses associated with RSV in hematopoietic cell transplant recipients. She is currently a committee member of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society’s (PIDS) Transplant Research Network. Dr Kim works closes with Drs. Alpana Waghmare and Michael Boeckh at the Fred Hutch Vaccines and Infectious Diseases Division as well as Dr. Jan Englund.
