Clinical Interests: Improving care of premature and term infants with a focus on delivery room stabilization and potentially better practices to optimize both short‐ and long‐term outcomes. Other interests include the provision of optimal nutritional practices for preterm infants for avoidance of long‐ term complications associated with prematurity, management of pulmonary hypertension in preterm and term infants, use of non‐invasive ventilatory strategies to avoid ventilator associated complications, and equity in perinatal healthcare delivery.

Scholarly Focus: Quality Improvement utilizing an interdisciplinary team‐based approach for positive culture change in the NICU. Current projects include implementation of ELBW infant care bundles in the delivery room and NICU with focus on the “Golden Hour” to implement best practices for transitioning preterm newborns during a time of increased vulnerability and focus on decreasing catheter related blood stream infections in the NICU.

Administration/Education Roles: Serves as the Associate Medical Director at Valley Medical Center Level III NICU. Provides resident and fellow education, works collaboratively with the Division and APP teams on Quality Improvement and provides staff education in the NICU.  Maintains and manages the clinical schedule for Level III and IV NICU sites.
