Resident Site Directors

All Site Directors are required to have a Clinical Faculty appointment in the University of Washington Department of Pediatrics and ensure the goals and objectives for the residency program are being met.

Site directors are responsible for making sure that site descriptions, directions and resident information is current and that credentialing materials are kept current on the WWAMI Programs websites (Resident, medical student, Visiting Professors, etc.)

Clinical faculty appointments/promotions is ongoing throughout the year. New clinical faculty appointments can be submitted at any time during the year. Promotions and deletions occur one time per year. (See clinical Faculty Section.)

Sites may host a Seattle Children’s faculty member as a Visiting Professor 1-2 times per year. Along with support from the WWAMI Program Administrator in Seattle, the Site Director is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the visit. See the section on Visiting Professors to find out more about the program and your site specific details. Evaluations are completed post visit.

Site Directors are also required to attend the annual WWAMI Pediatric Retreat typically held in June. The retreat is held in Seattle or within the WWAMI region alternating each year. If you are unable to attend, please contact the WWAMI Program Director to discuss alternatives.
