Professional Bio

Desiree Yeboah completed her undergraduate degree at Binghamton University and her medical degree at New York Medical College. She then went on to complete residency training in Pediatrics at Brown/Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Rhode Island. Thereafter, she relocated to the west coast to further her training and completed a Hospital Medicine Fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Yeboah is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Seattle Children’s Hospital. 

Dr. Yeboah’s current research focuses on the intersections of healthcare equity, language access, and medical education. She is involved in ongoing QI projects to improve communication and language access for patients and families who speak another language other than English. Dr. Yeboah is passionate about supporting diverse and inclusive educational programs for trainees, especially those who are underrepresented in medicine. Her medical education scholarship focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating antiracism and inclusion/belonging curricula and program initiatives.
