Clinical, Research and/or Teaching Responsibilities

Barbara Baker, ARNP, is pediatric nurse practitioner in the Newborn and Progressive Care Nursery, UWMC. This includes a teaching role with the pediatric residents as well as clinical care of newborns during their hospital stay. She coordinates infant referrals to continuity clinics and other primary care providers and is a liason for research personnel in the nursery. She also delivers short term outpatient care to infants of HIV positive mothers in the Maternal and Infant Care Center at UWMC. She is a board certified lactation consultant.
