Faculty

A faculty member should understand and be familiar with the Goals and Objectives of the trainee.  In the beginning of the clerkship manual there are the “Educational Objectives” that can be found on this link

Clerkship Manual

Faculty educators are preceptors that are working with trainees as a mentor, instructor, observatory and/or evaluative process.

As a faculty member of the practice or hospital working with medical student trainees, you are required to complete and submit and application for Clinical Faculty Status if you are working with a trainee more than a 3 days a month. If you are not a clinical faculty member, you would typically work less than 3 days a month with the trainee.

All Clinical Faculty appointments come with some benefits of the University of Washington. See Clinical Faculty Section of this website for more information.

Should you have any questions about the goals and Objective, the evaluation process or any other questions, please see the Site Director for you location.

We stand on the lands of the Coast Salish peoples, whose ancestors have resided here since time immemorial. Many Indigenous peoples thrive in this place—alive and strong.
